Before getting involved with WOS, Carol Oliveira was a First Assistant Manager at McDonald’s. She felt she had gotten as far as she could there and knew it was not the career she wanted. After a friend in the WOS program invited her to an open house to learn more, Carol joined the Talent Development Program at Sealed Air. Every six months her team rotates to another department; most recently she was working on security alerts with the Information Security Team. Since joining WOS, Carol finds the biggest change in her life is the joy of going to work every day. Additionally, she happened to meet her husband through her co-worker and the two now have a child together.
“Now I have a career; a very unexpected career,” says Carol. “I never expected to be in the technical field. It was a very surprising and joyous outcome just to have the opportunity and see how far it’s taken me the last five years.”
