WOS Partners with New York City Housing Authority

Workforce Opportunity Services (WOS), a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization, proudly welcomes its newest partner, the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA).

WOS will be training 30 students--all of whom are residents of NYCHA buildings--in helpdesk support for Siebel CRM and Maximo. Successful students will work for NYCHA and other companies and agencies. The new program, which will be conducted in conjunction with Columbia University, drew enormous interest from NYCHA residents, with 170 high-school-age students applying for admission. This initiative is unique, as it offers opportunities to many “at-risk” residents of the NYCHA community.

The partnership with NYCHA was launched in July 2011, and the academic program will begin in September 2011.
