15 WOS Consultants Join Guardian Life Insurance in Pennsylvania

Workforce Opportunity Services’ (WOS) newest partnership has moved to the next stage, with 15 consultants beginning work at Guardian Life Insurance Company of America in Bethlehem, Pa. in early July 2011.

The program launched in January 2011 in conjunction with Penn State-Lehigh Valley. The consultants have completed the first semester of their certificate program in software development lifecycle management and expect to graduate in January 2012.

At Guardian, the WOS consultants will provide services in a number of areas, including quality assurance, business analysis, project management, and data center support. Guardian is WOS’ first partner in Pennsylvania.

Shelley McIntyre, CIO of Guardian’s Retirement Solutions and Investments division, hosted the consultants’ orientation on June 24, where they heard remarks from Frank Wander, Guardian’s CIO, and were given a tour of the company’s data center and facilities.
