25 More WOS Consultants Graduate from Rutgers SOAR Program

Twenty-five consultants for Workforce Opportunity Services earned their final certificate in quality assurance and mainframe application development from Rutgers University-Newark on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010.

These students, their families and various corporate sponsors attended the graduation ceremony from the Study Opportunity Aspiration Rutgers (S.O.A.R.) program at the Paul Robeson Campus Center. The graduating students began the S.O.A.R. program in September 2009. They currently work as full-time consultants to four different companies: Prudential Financial, Pershing LLC, Medco Health Solutions and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Speakers for the event included Brennon Marcano, academic director for WOS; Rutgers-Newark Chancellor Dr. Steven J. Diner; Lyron Andrews, VP of client services for WOS; WOS Founder and Chairman Dr. Arthur Langer; and Kavan Patel, a SOAR graduate who was hired by Prudential in January 2010. Dr. Gary Roth, vice chancellor of Rutgers-Newark, presented the certificates.

"All of us at WOS are very proud of this graduating class," said Dr. Arthur Langer, founder and chairman of Workforce Opportunity Services. "They were given a fantastic opportunity to grow as individuals and business professionals, and they worked hard to take a huge step toward bright futures."
