Susan Fountain is a faculty member at CUNY’s School of Professional Studies. She developed and teaches in the B.A. in Human Relations program, which serves working adults who have not had the chance to complete a college degree. She also designed the Graduate Certificate in Adult Learning program at CUNY SPS. She has taught courses on adult learning, adult development, program design, conflict management, interpersonal behavior and leadership.  
 
Prior to her work at CUNY, she taught at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations from 2001-2007.
 
As a consultant, she has carried out training, curriculum development and evaluations for a wide range of organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Association of New York, the Center for Social and Emotional Education, Creative Response to Conflict, the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (Canada), Landmine Survivors Network, the Morningside Center for Teaching Social Responsibility, New York City Transit, UNICEF New York, and Workforce One.
 
Susan has a doctorate in Adult Learning and Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University.
