Junior Program Developer

This is a consultancy role with the potential to hire. Our partner is the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurer. With operations world wide, they provide commercial and personal property and casualty insurance, personal accident and supplemental health insurance, reinsurance and life insurance to a diverse group of clients.

Program Overview:

We are seeking candidates that have a strong foundation in programming, with excellent oral and written communication skills. The selected candidate(s) will work primarily on web applications and web services. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related study/field is preferred.

Candidate Profile:

  • Military Veteran with the following knowledge/experience:
    • Information Systems
    • Computer Science
    • Related STEM discipline
  • Tech Savvy
  • Availability to work full-time
  • Immediate start date

Essential Duties:

  • Participate in the full project life cycle including:
    • Gathering requirements
    • System design, implementation and testing
    • Deployment, and support of applications
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Programming
  • Understanding the full life-cycle of a software product
  • Ability to work within an Agile team environment
  • Legally authorized to work in the US (no sponsorship now or in the future)
  • A problem solver with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to engage yourself in a project and enjoy the challenges and processes involved
  • Eager, ambitious, and adaptable to change

Salary:

  • $22.00/Hour (Plus Benefits)

Duration:

  • Full-Time (40 hours/week)
  • On Call status on a rotating schedule (Sun-Fri)

Location:

  • Whitehouse Station, NJ
  • Expect to work remotely during COVID-19 (Equipment will be provided)
  • Once able, work will be conducted at the Whitehouse Station office
