Technology and Project Management Training & Employment Program

Program Start Date: June 24th, 2019


  • This program provides NO COST, comprehensive training to highly motivated individuals. If selected for the program, you will receive customized training, followed by Full-Time employment with our partner, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont
  • This unique work-study opportunity differs from the typical job. Our solution, for those who are ready, will put you on the right personal and professional path while providing the necessary support and mentorship to help keep you there.
  • During this program you will receive training in one of the following areas: IT Project Management, Business Analysis and/or Helpdesk support and Interpersonal Skills

Candidate Profile:

  • High School Diploma/GED (Some college preferred)
  • Individuals interested in pursuing a Long-Term career
  • Availability to work Full-Time
  • Military Veterans are encouraged to apply

Program Information:

  • Program Selection Event (assessment/interview stage)
    • Dates/Times: (all dates are mandatory)
      • June 24th - 8:30 am - 1:00 pm
      • June 25th - 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
      • June 26th - 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
      • June 27th - 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
  • Phase 1 - Academics (8 Weeks):
    • Orientation: Week of July 8th, 2019
    • Full-Time Academics Start Date: July 15th, 2019
      • Monday – Friday (9:00 am - 5:00 pm)
    • Training will include:
      • IT Project Management
      • Business Analysis
      • Helpdesk support
      • Interpersonal Skills
    • Academic Compensation: $500/Week Stipend.
      • This stipend is a miscellaneous payment (Form 1099) and is required to be reported to IRS when filing taxes.
  • Phase 2 - Work/Study (13 Weeks): Start Date September 9th, 2019
    • Full-Time work (4 days) with an Academic component (1 day)
    • Throughout the program you will receive continued support and mentorship to ensure your success
    • Work/Study Compensation: $15.38/Hour (Plus Benefits after 90 days)
  • Phase 3 - Full-Time Work (39+ Weeks): Start Date December 9th, 2019
    • Full-Time work:
      • A minimum of 39 weeks, after which, you will be eligible for hire at BCBS of Vermont
    • Full-Time Work Compensation: $19.23/Hour (Plus Benefits)
