Visual Arts Exploration III

This free Visual Arts Exploration series is offered to individuals looking to expand their horizons in the arts.

Workforce Opportunity Services (WOS), a leading non-profit organization connecting individuals from underserved populations with transformative career opportunities, has added another free online Visual Arts Exploration series aimed at expanding your horizons in the arts.

This series will cover a variety of themes to include:

  • ART IN TIMES OF CRISIS: - “Life imitates art far more than art imitates life” Oscar Wilde
This session is about how art has affected the way we look at the world around us.
  • THANKSGIVING IN ART: What does gratitude look like? This session focuses on the images of gratitude as expressed through visual art.
  • NATURE + ART + CLIMATE + CHANGE: The connection among People, Art, and Nature has existed arguably since the beginning of human history. This session will explore how that relationship has developed over time especially as it relates to our current world.
  • ALTERNATIVE MATERIALS IN ART: Every material comes with its own unique history and story. This session will focus on artists that explore materials outside of traditional mediums (e.g., paint, stone, or wood).

Developed and led by art history expert, Helen Lee.

The workshop is completely free and is provided by Workforce Opportunity Services.
