Irina Rubenstein

Guest Presenter, National Portrait Gallery

Irina lives in Washington, D.C. and currently works at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery as an Education Specialist. In this role, she works collaboratively with education program staff to create interpretive ideas and inquiry-based teaching strategies around NPG exhibitions. In addition,

Irina supports the department in developing and delivering innovative, enriching, and creative programs for Pre-K through 12 students and educators, families, teens and adults. Prior to her tenure at the Portrait Gallery, Irina worked at the Explore! Children's Museum as a program coordinator and the National Geographic Museum in visitor services. She holds a BA from Skidmore in Anthropology and an MS from Edinburgh University in Social Anthropology.
