This experience is designed to stimulate creativity.

  • Tuesday, October 11: What is a Professional Make-up Artist? To succeed in this industry, you will need to know what is expected of you and have a clear understanding of the job market. This includes practical skills, basic cosmetic knowledge, and personal behavior. We will discuss the various freelance make-up opportunities for bridal, television, film, print and more. We will talk about where to find the work to begin building a career.
  • Tuesday, October 18: Make-up for Professional Use. This seminar will teach you how to use cosmetics to impress prospective employers in person or remote interviews. The focus is on creating a professional appearance that transcends trendy make-up gimmicks and overly complicated applications. Proper practices can work to even out skin tones and brighten under eye circles, without looking heavy and distracting. Lips, eyes and cheeks are enhanced naturally. Any age, skin tone and facial feature can benefit from a few pro tips and product suggestions. Being able to look your best may help deliver the confidence you need in this competitive job market.
  • Tuesday, October 25: Halloween. This seminar takes a step-by-step approach to create Halloween skull make-up. Once the basic skull structure is applied, the finished look can be embellished to suit any style. Using traditional beauty products and maybe some unconventional adornments, we will show you how to customize your finished look.

Each session is free and is provided by Workforce Opportunity Services.
