Darbe Smart has lived in Brooklyn, New York. She has been in the food industry since she was 15, starting out as a dishwasher in Massachusetts and working her way to New York. For the past 10 years she has been working as a freelance catering chef in the city. In the past year she has done countless weddings and private dinners as well as trade shows and production catering. She has worked on David and Sue Rockefeller's farm upstate, working with local farmers and producing delicious meals with seasonal produce. From 2018-2020 she worked at Butler Bakeshop as production manager under Michelin star pastry chef Ryan Butler, and that is where her love for baking grew. Through the pandemic she worked with GetFoodNYC, delivering meals to the community during lockdown.
Her passion is being in the kitchen: “I show love through my cooking and I am so excited to share this love I have with others around the world!”
