This is a consultancy role with the potential to hire. Our partner is the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurer. With operations world-wide, they provide commercial and personal property and casualty insurance, personal accident and supplemental health insurance, reinsurance and life insurance to a diverse group of clients.

Candidate Profile:

  • Post 9/11 Veteran with an Honorable discharge, OR
  • Currently serving in the National Guard or Reserve
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Availability to work full-time

Job Description: 

  • This position will support the North America infrastructure used by the Release Management team, Websphere Admin team, and development teams. Daily activities include, managing system access requests, maintaining documentation, infrastructure monitoring associated with the platforms and technologies, tuning, patching, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities and Major Duties (include but are not limited too):

  • Manage user access to Build Forge, and CA APM
  • Monitoring of key components
  • Participate in 24x7 support of the North America infrastructure
  • Assist with migration of Build Forge processes/projects over to UrbanCode
  • Maintain platform documentation
  • Maintaining software versions and patch levels

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Required:

  • Experience working with Windows Server and Unix hosted systems
  • Energetic and eager to find solutions to complex problems
  • Strong ability to collaborate with teams consisting of many technical disciplines
  • Mid-level knowledge of UNIX, Databases, monitoring, general security

    Desired:

  • Experience using the following tools:
    • WebSphere Application Server
    • Build Forge
    • SQL
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Innovative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Strong technical knowledge

  • Full-time (immediate availability)

Salary:

  • $22.00/Hour (Plus Benefits)
