Program Overview:

Workforce Opportunity Services (WOS)—the leading non-profit organization connecting individuals from underserved populations with transformative career opportunities—in partnership with PSEG, is launching an information technology job placement program. The program will allow qualified individuals to work at PSEG through a paid work-study period, and eventually convert into a full-time PSEG employee.

For those interested in applying, we are looking for early career talent with working knowledge in Network/Windows Administration with the ability to commit to a full-time schedule starting September 2nd, 2019.

Candidate Profile:

  • Recent college graduate with a Bachelor's degree in any of the following concentrations:
    • Computer Science
    • Information/Computer/Network Security
    • Computer Engineering and/or
    • a related technical discipline
  • Outgoing personality
  • Availability to work full-time


  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, candidates MUST have a bachelor degree in a computer science or related field. 
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related program
  • Experience servicing and supporting Windows Server 2016
  • Experience Installing/Configuring/Implementing the following:
    • Domain Controllers
    • DHCP Server Roles
    • Domain Name System (DNS)
    • Active Directory Domain Services
    • IPAM with DHCP
    • Windows Servers in host and compute environments
    • Storage solutions
    • Hyper-V
    • Windows containers
    • IP Address Management (IPAM)
    • Network connectivity and remote access solutions
    • Core and distributed network solutions
    • Advanced network infrastructures
  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN/VoIP technologies
  • Experience Creating and managing Group Policy
  • Experience with Windows Identity Management
  • Experience Networking with Windows Server 2016
  • Excellent communication skills & professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of Cisco routers and VoIP communications
  • Knowledge of security products and protocols

Work/Study (15 Weeks):

  • Starts September 2nd - December 13th, 2019
  • Full-Time work (4 days), plus (1 day) of continued training
  • Throughout the program you will receive continued support and mentorship to ensure your success
  • Work/Study Compensation: $14.80/Hour (Plus Benefits after 90 days)

Full-Time Consultancy (30+ Weeks):

  • Starts December 16th, 2019
  • Full-Time work
  • Full-Time consultancy will last a minimum of 30 weeks, after which, you will be eligible for hire at PSEG
  • Earliest hire date is July 10th, 2020.
  • Full-Time Compensation: $18.50/Hour (Plus Benefits).
